Shared Services Centers (SSCs)

Shared Services Centers (SSCs) enable UCR to streamline and enhance transaction processing so that support staff may focus on more value-added (non-transactional) services. SSC staff will be specialists in specific processes, enabling them to provide informed service.

The Chancellor/Provost approved the establishment of four local Shared Services Centers to support the Future Operating Model of UCR. Campus organizations have elected to join one of the four SSCs – namely, POSSC (BCOE), Harvest (CNAS), Citrus (UNEX) and R ’Shared Services Center (BAS). The organizations are now in the process of planning and transitioning over to their elected SSC.

UCR’s four SSCs are planning for a December 2017 UCPath go-live, while at the same time providing ongoing services to campus organizations. All four SSCs will support the new FOM and non-FOM processes using the ServiceLink/UCPath toolset.
